October 2026 Monthly Update
We're excited to announce the following updates!
Connect Your AI Assistant with the Discovery MCP Server
Last month we said MCP was coming soon. It's here. The Discovery MCP server lets AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and VS Code answer questions with your Discovery data.
-
You can now connect Discovery to the AI assistant you already use, such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor, and ask questions about your data in plain language. No reports to build, no exports to download.
Ask things like:
- "Which 10 locations had the highest overage charges in the last 90 days?"
- "Summarize vendor invoice spend by vendor for last month."
- "List the active services at our Denver locations and how many pickups each gets per week."
- Your assistant can look up and summarize your clients, locations, services, vendor invoices, incidents, work orders, and more. It can also sort vendor invoice line items into Discovery charge types and suggest a service setup from invoice text.
- Currently on READ functionality is available. The ability to Create/Update/Delete is coming soon!

Faster Line Item Entry on Extracted Invoices
Two additions to the Extracted Vendor Invoice edit page:
- Copy a line item. Use Copy to duplicate an existing line item with its details filled in, then adjust it. You no longer have to rebuild a missed line item from scratch.
- Bulk Assign types and subtypes. Select one, several, or all line items and set their type and subtype in one step. This works the same way as Bulk Assign on the Vendor Invoice edit page.

New Vendor Contract Fields and Month-to-Month Tracking
Vendor contracts have three new fields:
- Vendor's Contract Reference and Customer Name (optional, under Record Information).
- Month to Month Reason. When a contract goes Month-to-Month, this is set to "No Reason Set." You can change it to "Watching for Price Increase" or "Reviewed, No Action Needed." Each change is recorded in the contract's activity history.
Related Sticky Notes Where You Work
The Location, Service, and Vendor Invoice Audit pages now show sticky notes from related records under a Related heading. For example, a "Hold all payments" note on a client company appears on each of its locations and services.

QuickBooks Online Integration Improvements
- Sync an invoice balance on demand. If a payment recorded in QuickBooks never reached Discovery, click Sync with QuickBooks on the invoice to pull the current balance.
- Easier Vendor ID linking when you bulk import or bulk update vendors.

Assign Vendor Invoices to Teammates
Vendor invoices can now be assigned to a specific user. You can filter by assignee, and the assigned user gets a notification, so everyone knows which invoices they own.
Dark Mode Is Here
Discovery now has a full dark color scheme, including the login pages. Click your name and photo at the bottom of the left-hand menu and choose Dark mode. If you've never picked one, Discovery follows your device's setting. Your choice is saved per browser, so set it on each computer or phone you use.
