August 2026 Monthly Update
We're excited to announce the following updates!
The DSQ Arcade - Celebrating 10 Years!
To mark DSQ Discovery's 10-year anniversary, there's a new arcade of waste-themed mini-games tucked away inside Discovery — eleven of them: Find it here!
There's an opt-in leaderboard — three initials and a score, nothing else.
New "Draft" Status for Services
Services that can't go active are now split into two clear statuses: Draft (something required is missing) and Pending Activation (everything is filled in — it's just waiting on a future start date). You'll get a warning listing what's missing when you save, a banner on the service explaining why it isn't active, and a Draft filter on the services list. Existing services are reclassified automatically.

View Service History Without Editing It
Clicking a service event in the timeline now opens a read-only view page showing what changed, the previous values, and the internal change notes — instead of dropping you straight into an edit form. Timeline entries also keep their full edit history, so you can see who originally created an entry and who changed it afterward.
Service Edit vs. Timeline Edit →
Filtering on the Audit Page
The Audit index page now has error filters — Missing Services, Accounting/Posting Errors, and Approval Errors — so you can jump straight to the invoices you're triaging instead of scrolling to find them.
How Do I Audit a Vendor Invoice? →
Manual "Posted" Status for Vendor Invoices
Tenants not connected to QuickBooks can now lock an approved vendor invoice with a manual Post, matching the protection QuickBooks-connected tenants already have. Admins can roll one back with a reason.
Manually Posting Vendor Invoices →

Filter Client Invoices by Date Type
The Revenue page's single date range is now a Filter by Date Type dropdown — Invoice Date, Fiscal Date, or Invoice Sent At Date — the same pattern already used on the Audit page.
QuickBooks Online Integration
Vendor invoice due dates can now be sent to QuickBooks. By default, Discovery does not include a due date when posting a vendor invoice to QuickBooks Online. To have Discovery send the due date instead, enable Send Vendor Invoice Due Date under Settings → Accounting Integrations. This setting is only available when your accounting system is QuickBooks Online.
Choose which date syncs on client invoices. A new Accounting Integrations enables you to choose whether you wish to send the client invoice date or fiscal date when syncing client invoices with QBO.
Quickbooks Online Integration →
"$ per unit" on Lock Installation Fees
Lock Installation fees can now be restricted to "$ per unit," matching what Lock Recurring already offered. Existing fees are unchanged.
API & Integrations
The following apply to version 2026-07-01. Previous API versions are unchanged.
- Higher rate limits. 1,000 requests per minute per tenant, up from 60 per minute per user.
- Gather invoice upload via API. Invoices can now be uploaded programmatically instead of through the browser.
- Search by external reference ID. Records can now be looked up by their external reference ID.
