Getting Started

What is a Pioneer Compactor & Baler Monitor?

The Pioneer system is a cellular (LTE) powered electronic meter that records the run-time activity of a compactor or baler's single or three-phase motor. This data is sent to the Discovery system in real-time to create predictions of the next optimal service date, in addition to logging detailed data about the machine's performance.

Installation

Installing a Pioneer Compactor Monitor requires no major modifications to your equipment and typically takes less than 20 minutes. Installation instructions can be found on our Pioneer Monitor Setup page. For any issues or questions regarding the Monitor installation process, please reach out to our Help Team by emailing [email protected].

Adding a Monitor to your Discovery Tenant

Monitor devices are provisioned to your Tenant by the Discovery operations team. Devices associated with your Tenant can be managed on the Monitors page found underneath Accounts.

If you do not have this link available to you, please contact us to have this feature enabled for your Tenant.

Next: Linking a Pioneer Monitor to a Device Service

A Pioneer Monitor must be linked to a Device Service in Discovery in order to process data streamed from the Monitor. This link between Monitor and Service tells Discovery where the monitor is (via a Service's Location) and the Vendor details (via the Service's Vendor Contract and Vendor Account).
