Deleting a Service
Before a service can be deleted, it must first be terminated. See How Do I Terminate a Service for instructions on how to do this.
Prerequisites for Deletion
Even after a service has been terminated, deletion will be blocked if the service has any of the following associated records:
- Client service fees
- Client line items
- Incidents
- Prior period adjustments
- Vendor invoice billable expenses
- Vendor invoice line items
- Vendor service fees
- Work orders
These records must be removed or reassigned before the service can be deleted. If deletion is not available, an error message will indicate which condition is preventing it.
Steps to Delete a Service
- Navigate to the Services list.
- Open the service you want to delete.
- Select Delete from the actions menu.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
External Reference IDs
If a service has an External Reference ID and you intend to reuse that ID on another service, we recommend removing it from the service before deleting it. While the ID does become available after deletion, clearing it beforehand avoids any confusion during the deletion process.
Note: Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
