How do I add 2FA (Two Factor Authentication) to my login?

Security being a top priority in the Discovery app, we're dedicated to keeping your data safe and your privacy intact. With Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) in place, we've added an extra layer of protection to endeavor that your account stays secure from any unauthorized access or potential threats. This proactive approach not only boosts your confidence in using our platform but also gives you peace of mind knowing that your information is safeguarded and well-protected.

While Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is optional in Discovery, we highly recommend enabling it for an added layer of security to safeguard your account. By opting for 2FA, you can enjoy enhanced protection and peace of mind while using our platform.


Please follow these steps to enable 2FA for your Discovery account:

Navigate to the My Account screen using the drop down menu in the top right corner (below your profile name in the navigation bar).

Click on the Security tab,.

In the Enable Two Factor Authentication (2FA) section, click the Enable 2FA button.

You'll be presented with a unique single use QR code. If you haven't already, please install the Google Authenticator application on your smart phone. Using the application, set up a new 2FA entity by clicking on the + in the bottom right-hand corner and then using the Scan a QR code option. Scan the QR code with your smart phone's camera.

You may optionally enter the provided key into Google Authenticator using the Enter a setup key option.

An entity record will be set up in the Google Authenticator app. Under it, Google Authenticator will provide a time based, single use 6 digit token that refreshes every 30 seconds. With that in mind, in Discovery, make sure to enter the token in the Two-Factor Authentication Code field and click the Authenticate button before the time expires and the token resets. 2FA is now active, ensuring enhanced protection for your Discovery account.
